Configuration of the Organization's currency, capacity, timezone, and public holidays
The first thing you should do is to set up basic information about your Organization:
- Currency
- Default capacity
- Timezone
- Public holidays
It may seem unimportant, but have a huge impact on the whole platform. This is why you should do it as a first step. So, how to do that?
- Go to the Settings tab in the Administrator role
- Choose from the list correct data
In the Settings tab, you can easily:
- Change an organization's currency, e.g. USD, EUR, AUD, THB, PLN, RUB, and many more
- Choose the default employee’s capacity for each day of the week, e.g. M: 8H, T: 3h30m, W: 7h, T: 8h, F: 0h, etc. This value will be proposed when adding new contract terms for employee. You can always define different capacity for each employee
- Choose your timezone (If you want to better understand how time-zone works, please see this article)
- Define default Public Holidays. It can always be changed for each employee
In the settings tab you can also:
- check your FTE settings. In order to change your default FTE, please contact support. You can read more about FTE in this article
- give your employees an option to request time-offs (by selecting “Employee can request time off”)
- enable email notifications by default. You can specify whether you want to have email notification for your organization enabled by default - meaning your employees cannot turn the notifications off
- allow managers to override finances of tracked work. By checking this box you can allow managers to modify worklogs (work for cost/income) when settling a period
After these initial steps, we can start adding team members.
