Ok, we have configured team members detailed information based on Lesson 6, e.g. capacity, salary, type of employment. Now, we can start adding projects to the Primetric.
Types of a project
In Primetric there are many different project types. Below you can find a brief description of each one.
Project types divided by the billing model (Time & Material, Fixed Price, Non-billable)
Choosing the right billing model is crucial when comes to assigning people to a project and managing a project's budget. More about differences and how to configure specific projects you will find in the next lessons.
Project types divided by the level of completion (Active, Closed)
Generally, you can treat it as a project flag. For now, there are no differences between these two projects in the context of managing them. The most important is that you can easily separate and filter these projects and see specific information in the Reports Tab.
Example:
Your Management wants to know how much already closed projects have earned, what margin those projects have generated and how it compares to ongoing projects or future project pipeline.
Thanks to the above division you can easily check it and generate the report for your Management.
Project type divided due to certainty of implementation (Tentative, Confirmed)
Basically, the principle of operation is similar to active and closed projects.
If your future project is tentative, but you want to create initial estimations or create draft assignments for your team members you can do it by setting up the level of the lekelihood.
Thanks to that you can easily create time & financial simulations, see your project pipeline in the upcoming months and possible income.
Pricing currency calculator
Primetric allows you to change pricing currency in your projects. If you have international clients and settle with them in other currencies, you can easily set up a currency and configure an exchange rate.
Thanks to that, you will see how much your client should pay you in your and their currency.
Hint: Remember this is a contractual value and should be used primarily at the stage of planning and estimating the project.
During the project and settling accounts with the client, you can adjust the currency rate to the most current in the project budget.
Assigning Manager to the Project
Each project can be assigned to one or many managers that are able to:
- see & edit a project's details
- assign people to a project
- read-only
If you don't assign a manager to a project it will be available only for Managers with Organization access granted. Other managers won't see it.
Adding a new project to Primetric
To add a new project go to the Projects Tab and click Create new project button. After that, you will see the initial project creation form. Fill in the information based on the above description and click the Create button.
After clicking the Create button you will be redirected to the Project's page.
Project's page
The project's page consists of three elements:
- Basic project's information at the top of the Project Page
- Project's tabs which allow you to manage the project during daily usage
- collapsible/expanded time & financial charts
Here you can find all the information about your project, e.g. Planning, Budget, Calendar, Vacancies, Timesheet, Report, Bulk edit and Activity.
At the top of the project page, you can find basic information that you set up during project creation.

What are the hashtags?
Hashtags are customizable tags that you can assign to projects. Thanks to that you can easily filter it in the Reports Tab. It allows you to also find specific project groups, custom statuses or other variables.

No, you cannot. Treat Project Group as a primary group. If you want to add many tags for better filtering your data use hashtags.
Can I assign many clients to the project?
No, you cannot. Each project can have only one client assigned to it. If you have multiple clients for similar projects you should create projects for each client.
