General overview
In this lesson we focus on the Timesheet tab, so you can quickly understand the basics of different views. The Timesheet tab allows you to:
- track time, and manage your work logs,
- manage and export your timesheets,
- switch between daily, weekly, and monthly work,
- compare schedulings to actuals and your capacity,
- find assignments that you are looking for,
- spot days where you didn't track any time.
Daily view
The daily view shows your:
- daily capacity (empty bar) in comparison to the tracked time (fulfilled bar)
- today's work with the information about: assignments, projects' names, and projects' phases
- comparison between tracked, and scheduled hours
- work logs tracked in an assignments
- public holiday or time off
- settled (finished = non editable)
- Colours of the bars (applies to all types of views)
- Green - time tracked
- Grey - time remaining (based on utilization) to be tracked
- Yellow - time tracked as overtime
Switching between daily / weekly / monthly / custom date range views
To switch from daily view to weekly / monthly view, you can click as below.
Weekly / Monthly view
The weekly / monthly view shows your:
- assignments that you should work in a chosen period
- weekly / monthly capacity (empty bar) in comparison to the tracked time (fulfilled bar)
- allows you to export timesheets in three different file formats:
- XLSX
- CSV
- work with the information about: assignments, projects' names, and projects' phases
- comparison between tracked, and scheduled hours
- comparison between daily or weekly tracked time and capacity (tracked time on the left / capacity on the right). On Wed 03 you tracked 4h 51m, and your capacity was 8h.
- comparison between tracked time (green color) / scheduled time (grey color). If you will notice yellow color it means that you tracked more time than your manager scheduled for you. On Wed 03 you tracked 4h51m and your manager scheduled for you 4h. This is why there is a yellow color.
- list of all work logs tracked in the chosen period of time with notes
- time-offs and warning about not logged time
