What is the purpose for unsettling costs and incomes?
The purpose for unsettling is simple:
If you made any mistake during settlement you can reverse that by unsettling things.
How unsettling affects project budget?
When you unsettle specific costs, incomes, or whole cost / income settlement dates Primetric will move selected costs and incomes from the settled tab back to the not settled tab.
Remember: If you settled assignment and Primetric has split it into two: settled and scheduled, after unsettling Primetric won't connect these assignments. It will be still split into two. The only difference is that both will be editable.
How to unsettle specific costs or incomes?
To unsettle any cost or income you need to go to the Settled tab in the project budget.
After that, you can unsettle costs and incomes in three ways.
Specific person's work (or update the associated cost or income separately)
Whole cost settlement date and / or income settlement date
Depending on what exactly you want to do you can unsettle only the work settlement date OR work settlement date and all costs and incomes related to this work settlement date.
Specific overheads (both: recurring and one-time)
To unsettle overhead you need to edit it and uncheck the "settled" option.
