New roles and accesses

Person cost restricted

Person cost restricted access allows you to see all incomes in projects you are responsible for, but costs are limited to the people that you are responsible for.

Example:

You have Department / Resource Managers responsible for the specific teams, e.g., Backend, Frontend, and QA teams. You don't want to show them all costs related to projects or the company, but they should see costs related to the chosen people in a company.

How to configure Person cost restricted access?

1. Go to the Administrator role.
2. Find a manager that you want to change access
3. Enable Finance and Person cost restricted access
4. Enable Human Resources access
5. Go to the People tab in the Manager role
6. Go to the employees / contractors settings
7. Add a manager in the Finance Manager field

What's the difference between Finance access and Finance access with person cost restricted option enabled?

When you have finance access:

• you can see incomes and costs of all people in Primetric,
• you can edit the incomes of people working on projects that you are responsible for,
• you can see/edit incomes, costs, and margin generated in the projects that you are responsible for (unless you have Organizational Access turned on OR All projects access - then you can see/edit such data in all projects)
• you can budget projects that you are responsible for without limitations (unless you have Organizational Access turned on OR All projects access - then you can see/edit such data in all projects)

When you have Person cost restricted access:

• you can see incomes of all people in Primetric,
• you can see the costs of people that you are responsible for,
• you can see/edit incomes of people working in projects that you are responsible for (unless you have Organizational Access turned on OR All projects access - then you can see/edit such data in all projects)
• you can't see the projects' margin
• you can budget projects that you are responsible for with limitation only to the people that you are responsible for

What if I would like to allow the manager with the Person cost restricted access to edit team member salaries limited to people that he/she is responsible for?

It's easy. You can enable such manager HR access :)

 

All projects - read / write

Allow the manager without organization access to see / edit all projects added to Primetric. Thanks to that, you don't have to assign specific managers to all projects one by one.

Please note that if you grant the manager Person cost restricted access + All projects - edit it won't allow him to settle the budget without limitations. Only granting full Finance access allows doing that.

Organization data fields

This access allows the manager to add / edit specific organizational fields, e.g., departments, clients, skills, and more. Without this access, a manager can only use previously specified data.

HR Manager gets access to the vacancy report

Before, the HR manager couldn't see the Vacancy report. From now, it is available in the "Reports" tab.
