Changes in terminology
Until now, we used the vocabulary Capacity, Available Capacity and Operations cost.
We have decided to change the naming.
Available Capacity changes to Capacity, Capacity changes to Contract Capacity and Operations cost changes to Unutilized time cost.
- Contract capacity is the amount of work time defined by a person's contract reduced by public holidays.
- Capacity is Contract capacity reduced by approved time offs
- Unutilized time cost is the cost of non-billable projects and idle capacity.
From now on we will use only these terms. If you would like to further understand the terminology, please contact your consultant.
New Search bar for People and Projects lists
Together with Release 8, we are sharing a new search bar for People and Projects lists in the beta version. Any user with manager access will have the ability to turn it on and off at any time. There will also be an option to report feedback on the performance of the new search bar.
You can turn on/off the new search bar in the My Profile tab
Major changes include:
1. The ability to filter by negation.
2. Custom field filtering.
3. The ability to generate a link to a filter that can be shared.
4. Improved search user experience.
Report visibility for managers without organizational access
For managers without organizational access, we give the possibility of seeing 4 reports.
These are:
- Utilization,
- Availability,
- Vacancies,
- Custom Reports.
Access to each report will be able to be given directly from the administrator panel on the employees' profile.
Important note - if someone has Finance + person cost restriction access, they will be unable to be given access to the custom report, as the financial data is there.
Changes in reports

Besides visually refreshing the report, we implemented several new things.
- We have added four new columns.

- Export option
- Possibility to look up data for a specific month when filtering for longer periods
- Now you can see the unutilized time costs of your company in the Finance report
Profitability report
The Profitability report is still in the Beta version which means nothing more than listening to your feedback. That's why we decided to implement the changes you asked for.
Besides visually refreshing the report, we implemented several new things.
- Export option.
- We added a seniority column.
- The average hour cost is changed to cost of tracked hour, which is calculated as:
- Use only settled data unchecked: cost of the employee divided by scheduled hours
- Use only settled data checked: cost of the employee divided by tracked hours
- We added the 'include project overhead' checkbox, thanks to which your project’s overheads will impact the margin generated by employees.
- We added avatars.
- Possibility to define overhead costs and incomes per department.
There are changes in calculating income per person coming from fixed price projects:
Before
- Employee income: Income / [Work * (Scheduled work (for unsettled assignment of employees)) + settled work (for settled assignment of employees))] -in a given period of time
- Income:
- Income= Estimated income when Estimated income is greater than Scheduled income and Settled income
- Income= Scheduled income when Scheduled income is greater than Estimated income and Settled income
- Income= Settled income when Settled income is greater than Estimated income and Scheduled income
After
- Employee income: Income / [Work * (Scheduled work (for unsettled assignment of employees)) + settled work (for settled assignment of employees))] -in a given period of time
- Income:
- Income= Estimated income when Estimated income is greater than Scheduled income and Settled income
- Income= Scheduled(not settled) income + Settled income when Scheduled(not settled) income + Settled income is greater than Estimated income and Settled income

Project progress report
Besides visually refreshing the report, we added an export option, so you can download the data you see.
Custom reports
We have optimized Custom Report loading time and:
- Added "Nick" to values
- Changed the Preview section - now it displays the first 5 values from your reports to give you a better understanding of how your report will look like
New financial reports
Along with Release 8, we are launching two new reports that will even further help you track costs in your organization.
Organization overheads report
In the 'Reports' tab on the left, you will see a new report - Organization Overheads.
It will show organization overhead costs and incomes (scheduled, not settled, settled) in three views:
- The summary view is located at the top of the page:
- Chart view:
- A tabular view by category of overheads:
All data will be available for export by clicking on the 'Export data' button.
Unutilized time cost report
A second new report called Unutilized time cost will show the time and costs of non-billable projects and idle capacity in the organization.
How the values are calculated:
- Non-billable projects = scheduled/settled cost of time on non-billable projects
- Idle capacity = scheduled/settled cost of unutilized time (only for employees on fixed monthly contracts)
Important note: this report allows only full months time frames.
Overhead per Department
Now you can define overhead costs and incomes per department.
In order to enable the function, please go to the Administrator panel > Settings > General and check "Organization overheads distribution by department".
What changes?
In the Profitability report, employees' costs will be impacted by additional overheads (costs/incomes) from the department they belong to. How overhead per employee is calculated now:
(organization overheads / organization capacity hours * employee's capacity) + (department overheads / department capacity hours * employee's capacity)
In a project report or Projects finances report (if include organization overhead checkbox checked):
if organization overheads included
(organization overheads / organization billable hours * organization employees' billable hours in the project) + (department overheads / department billable hours * department employees' billable hours in the project)
+ (if unutilized cost included)
(not department unutilized time cost / not department billable hours * not department employees' billable hours in the project) + (department unutilized time cost / department billable hours * department employees' billable hours in the project)
Change in Harvest and Redmine integration
With the upcoming change, the integration with Harvest or Redmine will round up or down the worklogs coming from Harvest.
For example: if person A logged less than 4.5 minutes in Harvest/Redmine then Primetric will calculate this worklog as 4 minutes.
If person A logs 4.5 minutes or more then Primetric will calculate this worklog as 5 minutes.
Before the changes, if person A tracked 4.34 minutes in Harvest/Redmine, Primetric displayed that as 4 minutes.
Minor functional improvements

- Added legends to charts.
- New currency added - BRL (Brazilian real).
