Enabling the Phase Locking Function
Administrators must enable the option through a checkbox in the admin account to activate the bLock Budget feature. Without this step, the functionality will not be available.
| Log in to the Administrator Role Account ➡ Go to the Settings Tab ➡ Go to the General Subtab ➡ Check the Enable the ability to freeze phases checkbox on |
How Budget Locking Works
The locking function applies to individual project phases. Once a phase is locked, no modifications can be made to the budget unless explicitly unlocked. This ensures that reality aligns with records during financial reviews.
Locking Budget Step-by-Step
| Log in to the Manager Role Account ➡ Go to the Projects Tab ➡ Click the right project ➡ Stay in the Planning Section ➡ Click Lock Budget right under the Estimation tab |
Reporting and Exporting Financial Data to a File
The "Project Progress Report" now includes a new column: Budget Locked (Yes/No).
- Specific phases may be frozen if "No" appears for a project. Users can expand the details to check individual phase statuses.
- The lock status is displayed as true/false for precise tracking in exports.
