You are planning your team's work and suddenly it turns out that too many UX designers are on vacation. Unfortunately, this shifts the work of the backend and frontend developers in time. You check where you made a mistake in the planning. You don't remember the vacation requests from Primetric.
There is a mechanism in Primetric to assign managers to receive time off requests from employees and review them: accept or reject. Everyone has the right to time off. So if we don't select a time off manager, the time off requests are automatically approved.
Remember that the Time Off Manager can only be added by a manager with HR or Organization access. Make sure that the manager account you are going to use setting up Time Off Manager has at least one of them. To make sure about this log in to the Administrator role.
To add the so-called Time Off Manager, follow the instructions below:
1️⃣ Log in to Managers role.
2️⃣ Go to the People tab.
3️⃣ Find an employee for whom you have determined automatic leave approval.
4️⃣ Go to the Profile section.
5️⃣ Go to the Managers tab.
It turns out that the Time Off Managers field is empty. We follow a simple instruction to solve the problem:
6️⃣ Click on the field.
7️⃣ Add a manager responsible for managing the employee's requests.
8️⃣ Add any number of managers who need to accept the request of a particular employee. There are no restrictions on the number.
9️⃣ A certain request will be accepted only if all managers agree.
A balanced approach to leave approval that considers project needs, team balance, and scheduling flexibility is critical to effectively managing a tech company's profitability.
